We do 3D printing and CAD design in Modesto, California. It began as a hobby in 2019 and opened to the public in 2022 because people kept asking. Family helps run it.
It started in 2019 as a hobby, back when you built the printer before you built anything with it. Our clients got word and started asking whether we could make them physical pieces too. By 2022 we were doing enough of it that we decided to name it WestSide 3D and opened up to anyone who asked. We never advertised our way into this. People told other people, and that is how it still works today.
Businesses wanting branded pieces, local shops stocking a shelf, schools and teams, gamers after dice trays and figures, couples planning a wedding, people chasing a replacement part nobody sells anymore, and plenty of folks who just want one thoughtful thing made for someone.
The small jobs matter as much as the big ones. A single keepsake for one person gets the same attention as a hundred-piece run, because to that person it is the whole order.
