Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026. We're a small family business. Our privacy policy reflects that.

What we collect

Quote and contact forms. Your name, email address, phone number, the project details you describe, and any files you upload (3D files, photos, sketches, PDFs).

Assistive device requests. Your name, email, phone number, and city. Phone is required because we call to confirm details and the delivery address before printing. If you are requesting for somebody else, we also collect that person's name, because the yearly limit is counted per person and we cannot count fairly without knowing who a device is for.

Assistive device records. When we fulfil a request we keep a record of who received what and when: name, address, city, ZIP, phone, email, and the household or care facility if there is one. This is how we track the limit and avoid duplicate requests under similar names. It is visible only to us. It is never published, never shared, and never used to market anything to you.

Support offers. If you offer to contribute to the assistive program: your name, email, phone, the amount, the name you want displayed, and any message. Nothing is charged from that form.

Automatically, when you visit. Our hosting provider logs the standard things any web server logs: IP address, browser version, referring URL, pages viewed. We also store the IP address alongside each form submission, which is how we stop the same source flooding the forms.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how many people visit and which pages they read. Google sets cookies and receives your IP address and browsing activity on this site as part of that. We do not use it for advertising, we do not run ad trackers, and we do not sell or share your information for advertising. If you would rather not be measured, Google publishes an opt-out browser add-on, and most browsers offer tracking protection that blocks it.

What we do with it

We use what you submit to answer you, prepare your quote, and complete your work. We reply by email from info@westside3d.com, and we may text or call the number you gave us.

We keep a record of your project (quote details, files, design rounds, what was delivered) so we can reprint or adjust the work if you come back. CAD files we create are kept as a backup so your work is not lost.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing emails you did not ask for.

What appears publicly

Most of what you send us is never published. Three things are, and only in ways you control:

  • Supporter names. If you contribute to the assistive program and ask to be listed, your name or business name appears on the assistive devices page. We never publish amounts. Ask to stay off the list and you stay off it.
  • Reviews. Reviews shown on this site were left publicly on our Google Business Profile. We shorten names to a first name and last initial when we copy them across.
  • Photos of work. Photos in our gallery are of pieces we made. We do not publish your name alongside them.

On gallery photos: every image we publish is re-encoded before it goes live, which removes all embedded metadata, including GPS coordinates, device details, and timestamps. Nothing about where a photo was taken survives.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with marketing partners. These are the only outside parties involved, each doing one specific job:

  • Our web host, where this site and its database run
  • Google Analytics, for visitor measurement as described above
  • Our email provider, when we reply to you
  • Payment processors, meaning Stripe, PayPal, or a cash app such as Venmo, plus our WooCommerce store for online orders. Card and account details go to the processor, never to us
  • USPS or your chosen delivery method, when we ship you something

If law enforcement requests information through proper legal process, we comply.

How long we keep it

Form submissions, project records, and CAD files are kept indefinitely, because a customer coming back years later for a reprint is normal for us. Assistive device records are kept so the yearly limit can be counted across years.

If you want yours deleted, email us and we will remove it. We are a small shop, not a data warehouse, and there is nothing here we are trying to hang on to.

Your rights

California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, and we extend the same to everyone regardless of where you live. You can ask us:

  • What information we hold about you
  • To correct anything wrong
  • To delete it entirely
  • For a copy of any files you uploaded

Email info@westside3d.com for any of the above. We will get to it as soon as we can. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking. We do not sell personal information, so there is no sale for you to opt out of.

Cookies

Three kinds, and that is the lot:

  • Theme preference. Remembers whether you chose light or dark.
  • Session cookie. Set when you use a form, so we can verify the submission came from this site and not from somewhere else. It expires when you close your browser.
  • Google Analytics cookies. Named _ga and similar. These measure visits. Blocking them does not break anything on this site.

No advertising cookies. Nothing that follows you to other websites.

Kids

Our services are for adults, including adults buying for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent and your child submitted something, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We update this when something material changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For substantial changes affecting how we use existing data, we'll notify you by email if we have one on file.
